Dr. Amrish Patel

Amrish Patel, MD, MB, BS, DRCOG, DPD, MRCGP, ABFP is a board-certified family physician with over 30 years experience. He is a member of Royal College of General Practitioners, American Academy of Family Medicine, American Board of Family Medicine, Primary Care Dermatology Society (UK), and American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. Dr. Patel holds added qualifications with a Diploma in OB/GYN,  Dermatology, and General Practitioners from the United Kingdom where he was a full time Family Physician, as well as Family Medicine in the US.  He also was an undergraduate tutor for medical students and a senior postgraduate instructor in the residency training program.  He served as an assistant professor in Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts.  Dr. Patel enjoys all aspects of Family Practice including Pediatrics, Gynecology and Well Person Care and holds medical licensure in North Carolina, New York, and United Kingdom.  His special interest is in General and Cosmetic Dermatology.  He received a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from the University of Wales in 2001. He has also completed his advanced training in Laser Medicine and Cosmetic Aesthetic Lasering with the Lumenis Corporation. He completed the Cosmetic Boot Camp in Jackson Hole, WY in 2005. Dr. Patel founded Onia MedSpa, one of the first medical spas in Mooresville, NC. Dr. Patel also teaches medical students from Duke University and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill as a clinical instructor and also from Wake Forest University as an assistant clinical professor. With a staff of fourteen  employees, Troutman Family Medicine has grown significantly since its opening in 2003. The practice has become a foundation of medical care in the town of Troutman and has gain recognition as a leading practice in the community. By participating in local health fairs, educational fundraisers and supporting local sport teams, Troutman Family Medicine has become a household name by improving the health of the community.

Amanda Honeychuck, NP 

Amanda M Honeychuck, ARNP completed her undergraduate nursing program at Pennsylvania College of Technology.  With five years of nursing experience, she earned her Masters of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University.  Amanda is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She belongs to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.







Lauren Brannon, NP

Lauren Brannon is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  She has a BS in Biology and a BSN in Nursing; her graduate education includes a Masters Degree in Humanities and Social Thought.  Lauren earned her Masters in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University with a concentration in family practice.  Prior to working in family practice, she worked as a nurse in Med-Surg and Labor and Delivery.  Lauren is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Association of Size Diversity and Health. 








Nadine Boynton, LE, CME, CPM

Nadine Boynton is a master skin care therapist who graduated in 1999 with high honors from the Institute of Skin Science in New Hampshire. She furthered her training with post -graduate certification in para-medical aesthetics and body treatments. She became certified in Permanent Markup Artistry in 2005 (cosmetic tattooing) and continued on with medical tattooing in 2016. She also received her
certification in Cosmetic Aesthetic Laser treatments in 2006. Always a student, Nadine took advanced training and education in Toronto, Canada to obtain the coveted CIDESCO Diploma. This degree is recognized world wide as the international standard for cosmetic and aesthetic science. In 2011, Nadine achieved certification for Oncology Skin therapy.

Nadine is a graduate from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She completed an 18 month post-
graduate international work program in Zurich, Switzerland. She has held
licensure in Michigan, California and South Carolina.

Her passion for skin therapy began with her own struggle with acne in her teen and
early adult years. This developed into a career that creates therapies to restore and
maintain healthy skin, no matter the age. Nadine has a great interest in energy and
vibrational medicine, acupuncture and is certified in Reiki I and II. Nadine also
enjoys water sports, travel and is learning how to play golf!

Jessica Hastings, CCMA/ Office Supervisor

Jessica is a 2008 graduate from Mitchell Community College in Statesville NC with a Certification in Phlebotomy. She salso received her certification as a Clinical Medical Office Assistant with PHC in 2013. Jessica works at Piedmont HealthCare's Troutman Family Medicine as a CCMA and Phlebotomist as well as the Clinical Lead.







Emily Mellor, MOA/X-Ray Tech, CCMA

Emily is a graduate of Western Technical College in 2015 with an Associates of Applied Science in Radiology Technology. She worked as an X-Ray tech with a mobile unit for Nursing Homes. Emily joined PHC family at Troutman Family Medicine in January 2016. Her favorite color is purple and her favorite pastime is boating and floating!








Dana Kost, CMA 

Dana obtained her CNA while graduating high school and worked in assisted living homes since she was 18 years old. She continued her education and graduated from Mitchell Community College in May 2017 with a Medical Assisting Diploma. Dana says that the medical field has always interested her and hopes to further her medical career in the future. She enjoys playing softball and singing in a choir, which she has done most of her life.







Chrisha McDaniel, CMA

Chrisha graduated from Mitchell Community College in 2018 with a certification in medical assisting. She is continuing her education in the healthcare industry. She loves to spend time with her family, cook, make pottery and glass art.








Courtney Wood, RT(r) 

Courtney is a 2018 graduate from the Ohio Valley Medical Center program of Radiologic Technology. She is originally from Moundsville, WV. She has vacationed at Lake Norman for 12 years before moving here in May.

Annie Eckles, Receptionist

Annie has been with PHC/Troutman Family Medicine for nearly 14 years as a receptionist. Prior to joining PHC she worked as a medical receptionist in a medical office in Statesville NC. Annie brings additional work experience to Piedmont HealthCare and Troutman Family Medicine, as a manager in Human Resources for a major corporation in Washington D.C.








Beth Sasser, Receptionist 

Beth is a graduate of Pfeiffer University in 1986 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Economics. She spent 16 years in the insurance industry prior to joining PHC in 2016. Beth loves working at Troutman Family Medicine at the front desk. Her favorite pastimes are boating and spending time with family.







Kaylen Bauer, Receptionist

Kaylen is a native North Carolinian, born and raised in Statesville.  She started working with TFM in March of 2018.  She previouly worked at Mission Hospital in Asheville and Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.  She is an UNC Asheville Alumni and plans on returning to graduate school to pursue a career in the Mental Health Field.  In her spare time she enjoys playing with her daughter and reading science fiction novels.
